About me

I am an immigrant From France and a naturalized Canadian citizen. I have been living in Canada for more than 20 years. I lived in Nova-Scotia for six years and I now live in Quebec.

In 2005, I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in translation and English studies at the University of Montreal. I have been a professor of French as a foreign language since 2007. I provide online customized French courses to a variety of clients. I teach in private (one-on-one), in semi-private (two learners) and in small groups (from three to six learners). I also work as a proofreader, revisor and translator.

I have been self-employed since 2005, but I also have experience working for companies. For example, I taught in-person, in Nova Scotia, at the International Language Institute for a year and at the University of Sainte-Anne for four years. From 2013 to 2019, I was also one of the correctors who correct the “French Writing Exam, French as language of instruction, secondary V” (Grade 11), of the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur du Québec (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Québec).

I am very passionate about my work, and it is very important to me to help you reach your goals. That is why I develop course outlines and create learning materials adapted to your learning style and level so you can learn and progress in optimal conditions.

Empathy and patience are personal qualities that I naturally express during my teaching. In my opinion, learning a foreign language can be a very challenging experience, especially when our job depends on it. That is why I always make sure to create good learning conditions.

To summarize, my main strengths are the following:

  • About 16 years of experience teaching French as a foreign language with a variety of clients
  • About 13 years of online teaching experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the French language
  • Mastery of IT tools
